Screensharing

Some servers may ask you to share your screen and run software that scans your PC when they suspect cheating. This is commonly known as screensharing. Stinky does not guarantee that it can bypass these tools.

Screensharing has become less common over time. Many major servers have stopped using it because of privacy concerns and false bans, so we no longer consider it relevant.

Because the client does not need to hide from these tools, we can:

• Cache data on disk for much faster loading, particularly on slower connections
• Save profiles locally so users can share them more easily
• Build features that would otherwise be difficult to offer
• Spend more development time on new modules
